DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok Review, Thailand (click here)

Hotel is in a good location and service provided is warm and active.

A lovely hotel in downtown BKK

The more affordable sister of neighbouring Hilton Sukhumvit, the DoubleTree Sukhumvit is well positioned in Central Bangkok and within 2 minutes walking distance to nearby BTS train station. Good Breakfast variety and large gym in the hotel. Also, lots of massage chains in the area as well. Here’s my review of the DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok:

Location – Downtown Bangkok

DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel is located in central Bangkok, 2-minute walk from the Phrom Phong BTS train station. It takes about 35 minutes by car from Suvarnabhumi Airport and 30 minutes by car from Don Mueang Airport.

Check In

Check in was relatively fast and efficient. There is a stark difference in hospitality between the DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok and neighbouring Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. To my surprise, staff here are more cheerful and provide more active service to guests. Welcome flavoured water is also available at the check in area to quench your thirst.

DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok and Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok are located just beside each other and both properties are linked. A tent was set up to provide a covered passage during bad weather.

Review of DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok Rooms

There are broadly 3 room categories available which ranges from Deluxe, Superior and Suites. Floor size are 28 sqm (301 sqft), 34 sqm (366 sqft) and 56 sqm (603 sqft) respectively. There is no Executive Lounge available at this property.

I was upgraded to the superior room for my stay.

Superior Room at DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok

The property opened in 2013 and the room still looks fresh from their opening. Connection room option is also offered at the property.

DoubleTree Sukhumvit Breakfast

DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok breakfast is located on the ground floor of the hotel. There is variety for breakfast. Hilton Honors status is also being recognised.

Pool

Although there are no Executive Lounge onsite, the property hosts their very own happy hour session for Hilton Honors Gold and above members. Qualified guests get to enjoy 2 hours of complimentary free flow cocktails and other non alcoholic drinks at Mosaic pool side bar from 6pm to 8pm.

Gym

The gym is located on the same level as the pool area. Size is decent and there is a good variety of equipment provided.

Conclusion of DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok Review

Review of DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok rooms are are much smaller than the neighbouring Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok. Breakfast at DoubleTree Sukhumvit has variety and gym is well equipped. The service at the DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok definitely stands out relatively. Hope you liked the DoubleTree Sukhumvit Bangkok Review!
