A Good Night’s Sleep on board Singapore Airlines First Class
Review of Singapore Airlines First Class sleeper service provides you a well-rested flight. Begin your night with a toast of champagne before retreating into your sky bed for a good night’s sleep.
Singapore Airlines New First Class Seat
The first class seats on board Singapore Airlines’s B777-300ER belong to the 2013 version and are arranged in a 1-2-1 seating configuration. There are only 4 first class seats on board which occupy the first row of the B777-300ER pointy end.
Seat width is similar to the 2006 version, at 35 inch width size.
Seat Options were located at the side of the seat
In Flight Entertainment
In flight entertainment system is one step above their 2006 version. The television screen resolution is in High Definition. Controls were also touch screen.
Screen size is slightly wider than the 2006 version at 24 inch. Same issue with reflective screen though the brighter and clearer screen helps. In flight entertainment selection is the same as Business and Economy Classes.
Similar to the Business Class, a pair of Bose Headset were provided for use.
Wifi was also provided on board. Each first class passenger was given 100 MB complimentary Wifi which has since increased to unlimited use.

Singapore Airlines First Class Amenities Kit
For flights longer than 7 hours, pajamas and an amenities kit are provided.
The amenities kit provided were from Lalique which makes both the pyjamas set as well as the amenity kit. I have come across two versions of amenity kit for men. Both provide the same content – 30ml Encre Noire Perfume, 6ml Lip Balm, 30ml Body Lotion and 20ml Facial Mist.
The first version is a normal pouch while the second version opens up to a basket. Amenities kits were also differentiated between man and woman.
Version 1 – Man
Version 2 – Man
Amenities Kit for Woman
First Class Toilet
The size of the toilet is not significantly larger than their Business and Economy counterparts. Though amenities provided are of better quality. Toothbrush pack comes in cases and toothpaste provided are Colgate branded. Large combs are also provided.
Perfumes provided are from Lalique
Warm Nuts served
Warm nuts were served together with the champagne. Nuts consists of Macadamia, Almond, Warnut and Cashew.
Sky Bed
Turn-down service was also offered by the crew to transform my seat into a bed. Similar to the 2006 version, the back of the seat was flipped forward to form the bed. The entire length of the bed is around 82 inch which is slightly longer than the 2006 version. There is also no need to angle your body while sleeping in this first class suite.
Singapore Airlines First Class Food
As this was a red eye flight, sleeper food service was served and it was much simpler than the numerous courses of meal seen on a day flight. As always, Dom Perignon Champagne to kick start your gastronomical journey. Evian water was also served bottled.
Table setting for the morning’s breakfast.
Fruits to start the day.
Main Course
There are 5 on board sleeper service option to choose from or you can simply go for the Book the Cook option. For this flight, the 5 on board options were Singapore Beef Noodle Soup, Rustic Wild Mushroom Quiche with Chanterelle Mushrooms, Juk (Korean Rice Porridge), American Breakfast or Continental Breakfast.
I have pre-ordered the Book The Cook Lobster Thermidor. For the First Class Lobster Thermidor out of Singapore, it comes with a whole bigger Boston Lobster together with their claws as opposed to half lobsters without claws in Business Class.

Conclusion of Singapore Airlines First Class Review
Singapore Airlines First Class experience certainly provides a comfortable sleep. However, service provided is less impeccable, probably because of the red eye flight. Seat feels fresh due to lower frequency use and food continues to taste yummy. Would recommend a day flight if you would like to fully experience the Singapore Airline First Class service.
