Millennium Hilton Bangkok Review, Thailand (click here)

Hotel with a magnificent view of the Chao Phraya river, Bangkok Thailand.

Newly refurbished Bangkok Hotel by the river

Millennium Hilton Bangkok offers easy access to neighbouring mega mall ICON SIAM. Wake up to a magnificent view of the Chao Phraya river and a good variety of breakfast at Millennium Hilton Bangkok. Here’s my review of Millennium Hilton Bangkok Hotel:

Location

Millennium Hilton Bangkok is located along the Chao Phraya river and beside ICON SIAM, the newly opened mega mall. It takes about 50 minutes by car from Suvarnabhumi Airport and 35 minutes by car from Don Mueang Airport.

Millennium Hilton Bangkok provides a shuttle boat service to the nearby Saphan Taksin train station that runs in the intervals of 30 minutes. You could also walk over to ICON SIAM and board their free shuttle to Chinatown and Saphan Taksin train station. Otherwise, Taxi or Grab transportation are affordable options to bring you around the city.

Check In

There was a queue during check in. Millennium Hilton Bangkok also caters to tour groups to which I have observed large tour buses bringing them to the property in the evenings/ late nights. Lobby may get a little crowded during that time.

Review of Millennium Hilton Bangkok Rooms

The rooms at Millennium Hilton Bangkok have large windows which provide stunning view of the city and the hotel has refurbished their Premium, Executives and Suites room.

There are 5 room categories available which ranges from Deluxe, Premium, Family, Executive and Suites.

Premium/ Executive Twin Room

This newly refurbished room is 40sqm (430 sqft) in size which is of the same size the Family room.

Comparing the Premium/ Executive room to a family room, this room is newly refurbished and occupies a higher floor.

Comparing the Executive to a Premium room, both rooms are similar but the Executive room occupies a higher floor and have access to the Executive Lounge.

Panoramic Executive Suites

The room is newly refurbished with a magnificent view of the Chao Phraya river. The suite is quite large with 67 sqm (721 sqft) of floor size. The entrance of the suite opens into the living room.

Living Room
Work Desk

A very comfortable work setup with a large desk available with strategic placing of coffee machine, telephone, television and toilet around the workstation.

Review of Millennium Hilton Bangkok Executive Lounge

Check in is also available at the executive lounge if you have booked a room with the Executive Lounge access or if you are a Hilton Honors Diamond member regardless of room type booked.

Breakfast

Millennium Hilton Bangkok breakfast is at the Flow restaurant on level 1 which usually attracts a large crowd in the morning. Remember the tour groups mentioned earlier? Be ready to queue to enter if you decide to have a late breakfast. Any time before 8am would be an ideal timing to avoid the crowd.

Breakfast variety at the restaurant is greater than the executive lounge. To avoid the crowd, I decided to dine at the lounge instead. An additional perks of dining at the lounge is the amazing view that comes with it. Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.30am (weekdays) and 11.00am (weekends).

Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea is from 2pm to 4pm. A good selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries are provided during the tea session. You may also order non-alcoholic mocktails along with the usual coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks.

Evening Cocktail (Sundowners)

Evening Cocktail or Sundowners are served from 5pm to 7pm daily. Good variety of Thai themed food are served during the session.

Conclusion of Millennium Hilton Bangkok Review

Based on the review of Millennium Hilton Bangkok, it is a good hotel option if you are looking for easy access to ICON SIAM, Asiatique or Chinatown. Otherwise, it is a little far away from the central area (e.g. Central World, Platinum Mall etc). Rooms at Millennium Hilton Bangkok are large though service experiences encountered have not been consistent.
