CHECK IN

Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali is an all villa hotel property with each villa having its own private pool. There are 3 types of villa at the property – one bedroom pool villa, two bedroom sanctuary villa and 3 bedroom presidential villa. Villas also come with different viewings which ranges from cliff edge ocean view, ocean view, sea view, partial ocean/ sea view and garden view.

Check in process was smooth and efficient. I managed to receive a complimentary upgrade from a garden view pool villa to a sea view pool villa due to low occupancy rate.

Local snack and tea were served after check in. As the villas and facilities are spread out, buggy is being used as a mode of transportation within Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali. Every service member will be able to assist should you need a buggy to travel from point A to B within this Bali resort.

And soon, our buggy arrived!

Banyan Tree Bali Villa Review

After 3 minutes of buggy ride, we arrived at our villa. The service member helped to bring the luggage into the property. As we set foot into the Banyan Tree Bali Villa, our initial review screamed “WOW”.

Living Room Area

This got to be one of the largest hotel “room” that I have stayed in, At 565 sqm (6,082 sqft), the Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Villa comes with an outdoor pool and jaccuzzi in private courtyard, Balinese bale complete with personal daybed, huge living, bath and bed area.

Amenities include TWG tea and their Banyan Tree branded coffee. There is also a daily fruit basket that comes with a variety of tropical fruits. Choice of fruits depends on the day of stay. Fruits as well as coffee and tea are replenished daily.

Bathroom Area

With 2 basins and 2 toilets, feel free to wake up and wash up together without the need of sharing.

There’s also a huge bath tub for your enjoy of a hot salt bath in the evening.

Bedroom Area

Visibility of the villa’s age can be seen from the tiny television screen. However, the villa has been very well maintained. Turn down services are offered every 5pm.

You may choose to scent up your room with incense and oil. The choice of incense and oil available depends on the day of stay.

You may also bring back home this environmental champion turtle souvenir after your stay.

Private Pool

Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Villa’s private pool can be access directly from the bedroom where guests can dive straight into the waters. If you are an early riser, you may also catch the sunrise from your bed (depending on your villa facing).

Fancy an outdoor shower? You may enjoy one after your pool activities at Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Villa.

BANYAN TREE BALI BREAKFAST

Banyan Tree Bali Breakfast is served at the Bamboo restaurant which also serves lunch and dinner. You may enjoy your breakfast outdoors by the public pool with a view of the Indian ocean or dine indoors.

Banyan Tree Bali breakfast is one that screams luxury

Fancy lobster, truffle, caviar, foie gras and sparkling wine in the morning? All checked! These items are only available from the Chef’s Creation menu and yes, you may order unlimited servings and they are all included in the daily buffet breakfast offerings. So do remember to request for the menu.

Besides the chef creation menu, there is also a variety of buffet spread at the common area for your consumption.

Chap jae is a staple daily at Banyan Tree Bali Breakfast given the large number of Korean guests.

Live stations at Banyan Tree Bali Breakfast

There are also live stations serving chicken rice and noodle varieties such as Laksa and Prawn noodles.

Here’s the sparkiling wine to kickstart your day. Vivino gave a 3.3 star rating for this sparkling wine.

GYM

The gym is located near the lobby where you can grab a buggy to ferry you there. There is also a shower facility for you to wash up after your work out.

SPA MASSAGE

Banyan Tree is also renowned for their spa with many Banyan Tree branded spas opening in third party hotels around the world. Tea and refreshing towel are provided at the waiting area. Once your massage room is ready, you will be brought to your private suite by one of the friendly service staff.

The Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Spa suite is equipped with a toilet and shower room. Spa robes are provided for the massage. Single and double room are available upon request.

After the relaxing massage, tea and fruits are served.

GLASS CHAPEL

During the stay, there were a few weddings that were being conducted at Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Glass Chapel. The chapel is located on the edge of the cliff with a stunning view of the Indian Ocean.

BEACH

The Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali has direct access to the beach. You will need to request for a buggy ride. However, do note that the buggy is not able to bring you directly to the beach. There is a private stairway where you need to descend from in order to get to the beach. There will be a Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali staff stationed at the bottom of the stairway where you can make a request for a buggy pick up before you make your climb up to the pick up/ drop off point.

This area is reserved only for Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali guests.

OTHER FACILITIES

At the town centre (Breakfast’s place), there is a kids corner with a television and selection of toys to keep the young ones entertained.

The nearby bar provides an area for Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali guests to wine down.

CONCLUSION OF BANYAN TREE BALI REVIEW

The review of Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Villa is definitely one of my best staycation experience in Bali which is also an ultra luxurious staycation experience. Service staff were prompt and friendly. Although there were one or two mishaps that took place, they were rectified quickly. Breakfast was luxurious and private pool was big enough to swim laps in. Although the review of Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali Villa does show some signs of ageing, their proactive service, huge breakfast offerings and large villas are one of the many reasons to justify a return.

As the location of Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali is far away from the attractions, Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali should only be one of your top pick if your objective is to have a relaxing staycation.
